Can You Get It Back Dappled Black Throughbred

The Thoroughbred is a horse breed in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Most coat types will need to be tamed from the wild. The high-performance Brindle variant can only be purchased at the Strawberry stable or taken from a bandit during a random ambush event at Twin Stack Pass. Thoroughbreds tend to have higher speed and acceleration, but lower health and stamina. Its handling gives it higher reactivity and agility.

Description

Thoroughbreds are race horses, identifiable by their lean legs, athletic build and deep chest. The Blood Bay and Dapple Gray are found in the wild, while the Brindle coat is purchasable. A unique Seal Brown coat is also discoverable. This breed is famous for Speed and agility, though can be clumsy if pushed too far. Their good Stamina and Acceleration make them perfect for racing short distances.

The Dappled Black Thoroughbred is available by purchasing the Special Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game. The Black Chestnut Thoroughbred is only available in Red Dead Online by pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition.[1]

Rachel

The horse of John Marston in 1907. Rachel has a "Seal Brown" coat and becomes available for the player as soon as they reach the epilogue. As the player's default horse in the epilogue, Rachel can be stabled, sold, re-styled and equipped with better gear. Due to her being a unique horse, she cannot be re-obtained if sold or killed.

Trivia

  • A Brindle can also be acquired from an O'Driscoll ambush at Twin Stack Pass.
  • It is possible to spawn John Marston's horse from the mission "Enter, Pursued by a Memory" using cheats. It's an unique Silver Bay variant.
